Zeit der Helden(2013)

Zeit der Helden is a German drama series centered on the Brunner family: electrician Arndt, his wife Mai, their teenage son Ben, and Mai's adult daughter Paulina, whom Arndt adopted as an infant. Though Arndt provides steadily for the household, he struggles to fully connect with his children despite genuine affection for them. Their neighbors—lighting designer Gregor and toy company manager Sandra—form a tight-knit circle with their mutual friend Christoph, who treats them as his surrogate family. When the group plans an Easter trip together, Christoph invites Katharina, a young student working as an escort, upending the dynamics of their carefully balanced relationships. The series explores how ordinary families navigate love, belonging, and the unspoken tensions that simmer beneath domestic routine.
