The Courtship of Eddie's Father is an American sitcom that premiered on ABC in 1969, based on the 1963 film of the same name. The series follows Tom Corbett, a widowed magazine publisher, and his mischievous son Eddie, who takes it upon himself to find his father a new wife. Eddie constantly schemes and meddles in his father's romantic interests, creating comedic situations as Tom navigates single parenthood and dating. The show ran for three seasons until 1972 and earned star Bill Bixby an Emmy nomination for his role as the well-meaning but hapless father caught between his son's matchmaking efforts and his own romantic prospects.
