Taniec z gwiazdami is the Polish version of the international Dancing with the Stars franchise, airing on TVN since 2005. The light entertainment reality series pairs celebrities with professional dancers who compete in ballroom and Latin routines, judged week to week. Seasons aired twice yearly—spring and autumn—building a devoted audience that regularly exceeded 7 million viewers on Sunday broadcasts, with the season two finale drawing over 8 million. The show has featured four hosting teams across its run: Magda Mołek and Hubert Urbański opened the series, followed by Katarzyna Skrzynecka alongside Piotr Gąsowski from 2007, and Natasza Urbańska joining in season 13. Urbański, known for hosting Milionerzy, departed mid-2007, while Skrzynecka remained a constant presence through season 12. The series established itself as one of Poland's most-watched entertainment programs before a hiatus preceded the fourteenth season's planned 2014 return.
