Dies Irae(2017)

Dies Irae is a supernatural anime series that weaves together a dark historical mystery with present-day horror. On May 1, 1945, Nazi officers in Berlin perform a ritual to resurrect the Order of the 13 Lances, a group of superhuman beings destined to destroy the world. Decades later, their fate remains unknown. In present-day Suwahara City, high school student Ren Fujii is plagued by recurring nightmares of guillotines, murderers, and black-clad knights. Desperate to reclaim his normal life, Ren struggles against an encroaching darkness that threatens his sanity. His friend Shirō's warning echoes ominously: everyone who stays in the city eventually loses their mind. As Ren's dreams blur with reality, he discovers he may be caught between supernatural forces tied to the failed Nazi ritual and a sinister conspiracy unfolding in his hometown.
