Dynasty(1980)

Dynasty is a historical drama set during the final years of the Kangxi Emperor's reign, when his sons engaged in a brutal struggle for power. The fourth prince, supported by strategists Nian Gengyao and Han Chong alongside the resourceful Lusi, clashed with his fourteenth brother, who had martial arts master Zeng Jing at his side. Caught between ambition and loyalty, Lusi found herself drawn romantically to the fourth prince while Zeng Jing harbored his own feelings for her, complicating their allegiances. After the fourth prince murdered Kangxi and forged the imperial edict to seize the throne as Emperor Yongzheng, he systematically purged rivals and discarded his former allies. Betrayed and disillusioned, Lusi joined forces with the fourteenth prince and Zeng Jing to plot Yongzheng's assassination, setting the stage for a violent confrontation that would determine the empire's fate.
