Chelmsford 123(1988)

Chelmsford 123 is a British comedy series set in Roman Britain around AD 123, where the exiled Roman governor Aulus Paulinus clashes with the scheming local chieftain Badvoc. Aulus has been banished to this cold, miserable outpost as punishment for insulting the Emperor's horse, a posting meant to keep him out of trouble while serving some purpose. The delicate Roman finds himself repeatedly outwitted by the cunning Badvoc, a wild-haired chieftain who hasn't seen a razor in decades.
