Augsburger Puppenkiste: Kleiner König Kalle Wirsch is a puppet series set in an underground realm ruled for a thousand years by King Kalle Wirsch, a gentle and peace-loving leader of the Wirsch tribe. Five Earthfolk tribes—the Wirsche, Wolde, Gilche, Murke, and Trumpe—coexist under his benevolent reign. When the ambitious Zoppo Trump issues a challenge, summoning all Earthfolk to the fortress for a duel, Kalle faces an unexpected threat. Zoppo and his scheming allies, the rat Querro and spider Quarro, lay deadly traps throughout the realm, hoping to eliminate the king before the contest. If Kalle fails to appear, ancient law grants the challenger automatic succession to the throne. The king must navigate treachery and danger to preserve his kingdom and prove his worth as ruler.
