The Glorious Era(2019)

The Glorious Era is a Chinese historical drama set during the founding of the People's Republic of China. It follows Zheng Chaoyang, a CCP undercover agent who infiltrates KMT operations and narrowly escapes capture at the Peiping police station with a crucial list of enemy spies. When he returns to the city after liberation, Chaoyang discovers that the most dangerous threat comes from within his own family—the mysterious KMT operative known as "Phoenix" is revealed to be his estranged brother, Zheng Chaoshan. The series explores themes of loyalty, betrayal, and divided allegiances as the brothers find themselves on opposite sides of a political and personal conflict during a transformative moment in Chinese history.
