Beyond The Ocean is a Chinese historical series that follows Prince Jianwen after he's framed as a traitor and forced to flee the imperial court. Seeking refuge on the open sea, the prince embarks on a perilous journey to uncover the truth behind a vast conspiracy while evading those who want him dead. Along the way, he assembles an unlikely crew of four companions—a ninja girl from the East, a descendant of Mongol sailors, and a Western naturalist—each bringing unique skills to their mission. Together, they navigate treacherous waters in search of the legendary Buddha Island, a place the emperor once sought for immortality.
