Antarctica(2011)

Antarctica is a 1950s drama following a Japanese research expedition to the frozen continent. When a team stationed at Showa Base must evacuate due to brutal weather, they're forced to abandon 19 sled dogs, including two brothers named Taro and Shiro. A year later, a new expedition arrives at the base. One of the dog handlers experiences an unexpected and emotional reunion with the two surviving brothers, defying the harsh odds of Antarctica's unforgiving landscape. The film captures the bond between humans and animals against the backdrop of extreme exploration and sacrifice.
