Fury(1955)

Fury is an American western television series that aired on NBC from 1955 to 1960. The show centers on Jim Newton, who runs the Broken Wheel Ranch in California with his adopted son Joey Clark Newton and ranch hand Pete Wilkey. A magnificent stallion named Fury forms the emotional core of the series, with the iconic opening showing the horse galloping toward the camera as the announcer declares: "Fury!..The story of a horse..and a boy who loves him." The bond between Joey and his beloved horse drives the ranch adventures and coming-of-age moments that define each episode. Roger Mobley joined the cast in the final two seasons as Joey's friend Packy Lambert. Fury holds distinction as the first American series produced by Television Programs of America, later continuing under British-based ITC Entertainment.
