Haven(2001)

Haven follows Ruth Gruber, a journalist and humanitarian who undertakes a dangerous mission to Europe during World War II. Tasked with escorting a thousand Jewish refugees to safety in America, Gruber witnesses firsthand the trauma and resilience of war survivors. As she grows closer to the people in her care, her initial assignment transforms into a personal crusade. Gruber battles bureaucratic resistance and prejudice to secure these refugees' right to build new lives in the United States.
