The Executioner(2015)

The Executioner is a historical drama series following Yip Sheung-luk, a seasoned executioner who agrees to protect his savior's pregnant daughter-in-law by sending her to stay with renowned midwife Fa Yui-hung in the capital. When a series of brutal murders erupts, Sheung-luk saves a mysterious newborn boy—an act that draws dangerous attention from the imperial court. Forced to work together, the executioner and midwife form an unlikely bond while navigating treacherous obstacles. Their lives grow more complicated when a reckless young man seeks apprenticeship under Sheung-luk, and a mysterious magician arrives with secrets of his own.
