Army Bound is a 1940s military comedy following race car driver Frank Cermak, who falls for Jane Harris. When Frank defeats rival Bill Peters—an army lieutenant on leave—in both a heated race and a subsequent fistfight, the stakes escalate dramatically. Frank's draft notice arrives shortly after, and he's assigned to the same unit under Peters's command. Now the two rivals must navigate military hierarchy and personal animosity while Frank pursues Jane from afar. The film plays the unlikely scenario for laughs as Frank contends with his former antagonist holding authority over him, creating friction at every turn.
