Song of Russia is a wartime romance that follows American conductor John Meredith and his manager Hank Higgins as they travel through the Soviet Union on a 40-city concert tour, just before the Nazi invasion. Meredith falls for Nadya Stepanova, a talented Soviet pianist, while witnessing what appears to be a thriving Communist society. Their romance and the idyllic world they discover are shattered when Germany invades, forcing them to confront the brutal realities of war.
