Maniac on the Loose is a thriller centered on a psychiatric hospital's worst nightmare: an extremely dangerous patient has escaped. The hospital's director, Dr. Franklin Grimm, faces a moral crossroads when he learns of the breakout. Rather than alert authorities, Grimm chooses to cover up the escape, fearing the scandal will cost him his job. His decision sets off a chain reaction of chaos and danger as a violent maniac roams free in the community. The film builds tension through Grimm's desperate attempts to contain the situation while the escaped patient remains at large, threatening everyone in his path. What begins as a cover-up becomes a race against time as the consequences of Grimm's choice spiral beyond his control.
