Dong jiang Special Brigade(2006)

Dong jiang Special Brigade is a wartime drama set in 1941, following siblings Lin Yazhen and Lin Yalong after their family is killed during Japan's bombing of Malaysia. Orphaned and driven by their mother's final wish, the two return to their hometown along the Dongjiang River in Guangdong and join a resistance movement for overseas Chinese. They eventually become part of the Dongjiang Guerrilla Force and are selected for a covert operation: infiltrating Hong Kong to execute a secret mission ordered by the Communist Party's Southern Bureau. The film traces their journey from grief-stricken refugees to dedicated resistance fighters navigating the dangers of occupied territory during the Pacific War.
