Vítr v kapse(1983)

Wind in Your Pocket is a Czechoslovak drama that follows two inseparable friends navigating their first year after industrial school at a large engineering plant in Pilsen. Ondřej and Cyril arrive with idealistic visions of the future, only to find their youthful expectations colliding with the harsh realities of factory work and adult responsibility. Beyond workplace struggles, both men grapple with personal demons and conflicting ambitions. Director Miroslav Soukup draws on his own experiences at the Škodovka factory to craft an intimate portrait of working-class life. Just as the friends begin to chart their course forward, a sudden tragedy derails their carefully laid plans, forcing them to confront what truly matters. The film captures the disillusionment and resilience of a generation caught between hope and circumstance.
