Flashback follows Huey Walker, a fugitive hippie radical who has evaded capture for decades after being accused of a crime he may not have committed. When finally apprehended, Walker is transported to trial by John Buckner, a by-the-book FBI agent in his twenties. The two men seem like complete opposites—the aging counterculture rebel and the rigid federal agent—but their journey together reveals unexpected common ground. When a sinister small-town sheriff becomes a threat, Walker and Buckner must confront their differences and work together to survive. The film blends crime thriller elements with character-driven drama as these unlikely companions discover they're more alike than either anticipated.
