Mamie Rose(1976)

Mamie Rose is a French film about a fractured family seeking unexpected salvation. Agathe and Régis, a couple teetering on divorce, hire Rose, an elderly woman, as a live-in caregiver for their difficult ten-year-old son Benoît while they step back to reconsider their marriage. Rose arrives with her inseparable fish and bird, and her first encounters with the troubled boy are rocky. But she quickly perceives what his parents have missed: Benoît's aggression masks deep unhappiness and a desperate hunger for genuine affection.
