Un clair de Lune à Maubeuge(1962)
Un clair de Lune à Maubeuge is a French film about Paul, a Parisian cab driver and aspiring classical composer who dreams of success through his symphonies and sonatas. After winning money on a horse race bet on Maubeuge, Paul and his friends celebrate by composing a lighthearted song called "Tout ça ne vaut pas un clair de lune à Maubeuge." When a recording accidentally airs on a religious music program, the catchy tune becomes an unexpected hit, bringing Paul the fame and fortune he'd always wanted—just not in the way he imagined. The ironic success of his throwaway composition transforms his life and leads to happiness for Paul and his fiancée Virginie, as well as another couple among his friends. A charming tale of fortune, ambition, and love in postwar Paris.
