Things I Forgot to Remember(1999)

Things I Forgot to Remember is a bittersweet comedy that follows Robertico, the youngest son of a Cuban family who has immigrated to the United States. Ashamed of his heritage and convinced by American television that his family doesn't fit in, Robertico literally escapes into a sitcom world to flee his Cuban past. His desperate parents turn to prayer for guidance as the clash between cultures intensifies. Torn between two worlds, Robertico must confront his own self-hatred and discover whether he has the strength to embrace his roots and find genuine self-worth.
