Pie(2012)

Pie is a darkly comic Ukrainian film set in a small provincial town where everyone knows everyone. Granny Zina runs an unusual operation: she bakes pies for local youngsters while quietly dealing drugs on the side. Protected by corrupt police who double as the town's criminal elite, she operates with impunity. When a ruthless crime boss arrives to collect his cut, Zina calmly invites him to dinner—a revelation that transforms the entire dynamic. The film explores the absurd intimacy of small-town life, where family bonds and criminal enterprise become impossibly entangled, and a grandmother's resourcefulness proves more powerful than any enforcer's threat.
