UnAuthorized is a film that weaves together three interconnected realities. Elia K, a principal, imagines Elijah, a struggling playwright caught between artistic integrity and commercial pressure. Within Elijah's imagination live Nina and Frederick, characters in his unfinished play who yearn for love and demand their own ending. As the boundaries between creator and creation blur, the characters push back against their author, forcing him to confront what his story truly deserves. Set in a vibrant, dreamlike city, UnAuthorized explores the tension between art and compromise, creativity and control. The film echoes the whimsical magic of Amélie and Stranger Than Fiction, offering a meditation on love, heartbreak, and the price of creative freedom.
