Half Way to Hell is a Western set during the Mexican Revolution. Maria San Carlos, daughter of a wealthy landowner, is promised to General Escobar but refuses the match. Escobar dispatches a ragtag band of American and Mexican outlaws to kidnap her. An American cowboy traveling with Maria's group—whose gold the gang steals—pursues them across the desert, caught between duty and desire. As tensions mount between the captors and their reluctant prize, the cowboy's quest for revenge becomes entangled with Maria's fight for freedom. The film blends action, romance, and period intrigue as unlikely alliances form in the harsh landscape of revolutionary Mexico.
