Emotional Backgammon follows John, a tailor who believes his life is perfectly ordered. He's content in his relationship with Mary and has planned the ideal evening—a home-cooked dinner where he intends to propose. But Mary has other plans. She announces she's leaving him to find herself, shattering John's carefully constructed world in a single moment. What unfolds is an intimate portrait of heartbreak and the collision between two people's visions of their shared future.
