Ovum(2015)

Ovum follows a quirky Brooklyn actress who throws herself into The Method while preparing for an Off Broadway role, only to find herself pulled into the murky underworld of egg donation clinics. As she navigates this shadowy industry, she encounters a cast of morally ambiguous characters—desperate donors, unscrupulous brokers, and wealthy clients—each with their own hidden agenda. What begins as research for a part becomes a descent into ethical quicksand, where the line between performance and reality blurs dangerously. The film explores themes of bodily autonomy, desperation, and the commodification of women's bodies with dark humor and unflinching honesty.
