Making Out is a romantic comedy about two struggling artists who decide to stage the perfect romance. Charlie, a screenwriter churning out scripts to pay the bills, meets Erin, an actress navigating film and theatre roles, on a film set. Bonding over their romantic disappointments, they hatch an unconventional plan: write and perform elaborate dates straight from their favorite clichés, complete with all the grand gestures they've always dreamed of. As they choreograph each romantic scene with meticulous care, their carefully constructed fantasy begins to unravel in unexpected ways. What starts as a creative experiment to manufacture love becomes something neither anticipated. Through scripted moments and improvised mishaps, Charlie and Erin must confront whether their feelings for each other are part of the performance or something genuine taking shape offscreen.
