The Price of Life(1994)

The Price of Life is a 1991 drama set against the backdrop of the Yugoslav Wars. Ivan, a prisoner who escapes from a Serbian camp, seeks refuge on the property of wealthy landowner Stevan. Rather than turn him in, Stevan offers Ivan a choice: face the authorities or work the farm. As Ivan settles into his new life, he encounters Stevan's troubled family and meets Anica, a Croatian woman married to Stevan's volatile son who fights in the conflict.
