Settled at the Seaside(1915)

Settled at the Seaside is a silent comedy that unfolds when two couples collide at the shore. A young man proposes to his girlfriend, but she immediately demands he retie his tie. When he refuses, she returns the ring and storms off. Meanwhile, a vain middle-aged man is delighted to see his nagging wife depart in a runaway carriage. He spots the jilted woman and seizes his chance, while she agrees to his advances purely to make her ex-fiancé jealous. The two dash off for a swim together, leaving behind a discarded wife and a heartbroken suitor. As chaos multiplies along the beach, the question becomes whether anyone can salvage their romantic entanglements before the day ends.
