Fly, Daddy, Fly(2006)
Fly, Daddy, Fly is a South Korean drama about a middle-aged businessman whose life shatters when his daughter is assaulted by schoolboys, including a popular boxing champion. Unable to navigate the system through legal means, Ga-pil attempts vigilante justice but fails. Desperate and outmatched, he turns to an unlikely ally—a fellow student willing to train him in combat over just 45 days. What follows is a tense race against time as Ga-pil transforms himself into someone capable of protecting his family. The film explores themes of powerlessness, determination, and the lengths a parent will go to seek justice when institutions fail them. Gritty and emotionally charged, Fly, Daddy, Fly examines class struggle and moral ambiguity in contemporary Korea.
