Oru Indhiya Kanavu(1983)

Oru Indhiya Kanavu is a Tamil drama following Anamika, a post-graduate student who travels to the Javadi Hills with friends to research the tribal communities there. She forms a meaningful bond with a local tribal girl named Gangamma. Moved by what she witnesses, Anamika returns home determined to improve the lives of the people she met, supported by her father and a journalist named Agni. When she makes a second trip to the hills, she discovers that Gangamma has died. The film explores themes of social responsibility, cross-cultural connection, and the personal cost of activism in rural India.
