La prairie en feu is a Western that follows a Sioux tribe's brutal conflict with settlers. Led by their great chief, the tribe seeks vengeance against the palefaces by torching a nearby village. The cowboys mount a fierce counterattack, mortally wounding the chief in the ensuing clash. The film captures the violent collision between two worlds on the frontier, driven by cycles of retaliation and survival.
