Árpád népe is a mystical rock opera that explores a turbulent chapter in Hungarian history. Composed by Levente Szörényi with libretto by Zsolt Pozsgai, the work follows the power struggle after King Stephen's death, when Peter Orseolo sits uneasily on the throne. As factions grow restless, demands mount for the return of Árpád's line—representatives of the old order who could reclaim the crown. The opera draws from Tibor Fonyódi's play to dramatize a period rarely examined in popular culture, blending historical conflict with the intensity of rock music and operatic storytelling.
