Call of Heroes(2016)

Call of Heroes is a Chinese action film set during the warlords era. When the government withdraws its military forces to the front lines, the rural village of Pucheng becomes vulnerable to attack. The cruel commandant Cao arrives with enemy troops and begins killing innocent villagers. Desperate to protect their homeland and seek justice, the village's guardians band together to fight back against Cao and his forces. The film captures the struggle of ordinary people defending their community against overwhelming odds during a turbulent period in Chinese history.
