LaLa Sunshine(2009)

LaLa Sunshine is a psychological thriller following Su-Jin, a screenwriter haunted by her own violent past. When she reads about art curator Lee Mi-Ra's acquittal for killing her rapist in self-defense, Su-Jin becomes obsessed with the case. Convinced the murder was premeditated rather than spontaneous, she channels her suspicions into a screenplay while simultaneously confronting her own attacker from years ago. As fiction and reality blur, Su-Jin's investigation forces her to reckon with trauma, justice, and the thin line between revenge and survival. The film explores whether healing requires forgetting or reckoning.
