They Shot the Sun(1982)

They Shot the Sun is a Korean crime drama following two ex-convicts whose partnership spirals into violence. After their release, Lee Jong-Bae and Moon Do-Seok plan an armed robbery using a modified carbine rifle. Their first job succeeds, but an unintended killing shakes Moon's resolve and fills him with remorse. Lee, however, grows bolder and commits a second crime that leaves more victims in its wake. When Lee's wife urges him to turn himself in to police, he refuses, pushing deeper into a criminal path that threatens to destroy everything around him. The film explores themes of redemption, moral choice, and the consequences of choosing crime over conscience.
