Bad Meat is a dark comedy set in the struggling town of Butcher's Mill, Illinois, where two hapless friends chase impossible dreams. Earl wants to marry Pam, the town's only available woman, but she demands he own a trailer—a hurdle he can't clear. His boss at the local meat-packing plant has other ideas and schemes to win her first. Buddy, meanwhile, fancies himself a criminal mastermind despite a string of failures and a parole officer on his case. When Buddy devises a plan to kidnap a corrupt U.S. Congressman for ransom, the two losers tumble toward chaos. Bad Meat mines comedy from small-town desperation, failed ambition, and the collision between delusion and reality.
