Eat My Dust is a 1976 comedy film about Hoover Nielbold, a car-obsessed teenager determined to win over the prettiest girl in school by borrowing a souped-up race car from local racer Big Bubba Jones. When Hoover's father—the town sheriff—discovers the joyride, he dispatches his incompetent deputies to track down the speeding teen. As the chase spirals out of control and concerned parents flood the sheriff's office, Hoover's father reluctantly partners with Jones and other racers to catch his reckless son.
