Your Son and Brother(1966)

Your Son and Brother is a Soviet drama adapted from Vasiliy Shukshin's short stories, set in a rural village where life unfolds through the struggles of an aging man and his four sons. Old Yermolai has spent his entire life in one place, watching each of his sons navigate their own crises. When the youngest, imprisoned and desperate to see his family, escapes just three months before his scheduled release, the escape forces the family to confront their fractured bonds and the harsh realities of village life.
