Josh & S.A.M. is a 1993 adventure comedy following two brothers uprooted by their mother's impending marriage to a French accountant. When their father claims them in Florida, Josh convinces his younger brother Sam that he's a "S.A.M."—a soldier scheduled for deployment to Africa—and that Canada offers refuge from military service. The brothers embark on a cross-country journey toward the Canadian border, navigating mishaps and misadventures along the way. What begins as an elaborate escape plan becomes a genuine test of their bond as they discover whether freedom lies in reaching Canada or in accepting the changes waiting back home.
