Pet Names is a drama about Leigh, a grad-school dropout caring for her ailing mother, who reluctantly accepts her mother's advice to take a break. She invites her ex on a camping trip, hoping for a fresh start. Instead, the weekend in the woods becomes an emotional reckoning. As old tensions resurface and unresolved feelings emerge, what was meant to be restful turns into an uncomfortable confrontation. The film explores how proximity and isolation can strip away pretense, forcing two people to reckon with their past and what they meant to each other. Pet Names examines the weight of caregiving, the complexity of exes, and the difficult work of moving forward.
