The Crossing(2018)

The Crossing follows Peipei, a student who spends her days commuting between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Desperate to fund a trip to Japan with her best friend—a dream of seeing snow—she joins a smuggling operation, using her student status to traffic iPhones across the border. What begins as a quick scheme to earn money spirals into chaos. Her family relationships fracture, her friendships crumble, and her carefully balanced life unravels. The film explores how a single choice can trigger a cascade of consequences, trapping a young woman between two cities and two versions of herself.
