Six Portraits XL: 2 Jacquotte et Daniel is a documentary portrait film that captures two distinct lives. Jacquotte returns to her parents' home each July on her way to vacation, stepping back into childhood in a house frozen in time since their deaths. The family home may soon be sold, making these annual visits increasingly precious. Daniel, meanwhile, is bound by ritual and anxiety—checking windows and taps obsessively, washing his hands in elaborate ceremonies. A former filmmaker of considerable talent, he's abandoned that life entirely and deflects any questions about why with humor and evasion. He spends his days at a café, testing his luck with scratch cards. The film observes these two individuals through their routines, habits, and the unspoken stories they carry.
