Four Women(2001)

Four Women is a drama about reconnection and unresolved tension. When Annette announces her engagement, Monika seizes the chance to return to her hometown—ostensibly to celebrate the wedding, but really to escape a troubled relationship with Josef. Back among familiar streets and old acquaintances, Monika confronts the life she left behind and the choices that shaped her. The homecoming stirs up complicated feelings as past and present collide, forcing her to reckon with what she's been running from and what, if anything, she can rebuild. The film explores how we navigate the people and places that define us, even when we try to leave them behind.
