Architecture of Infinity is a documentary film that explores how sacred spaces inspire transcendence and spiritual awakening. Director Christoph Schaub revisits churches from ancient to contemporary designs, investigating how structures of stone and light can evoke profound introspection and freedom. Guided by childhood memories, he collaborates with renowned architects Peter Zumthor, Peter Märkli, and Álvaro Siza Vieira, alongside artists James Turrell and Cristina Iglesias, to decode the spiritual dimensions of architecture. Together they examine how light, time, rhythm, sound, and shape shape our inner experience. Drummer Sergé "Jojo" Mayer contributes a sonic dimension to the inquiry.
