Rolie Polie Olie: The Great Defender of Fun(2002)

Rolie Polie Olie: The Great Defender of Fun is an animated film about a space pirate's plot to ruin a birthday party. Gloomius Maximus, a villain who refuses to let anyone enjoy themselves, intercepts an invitation to young Zowie Polie's third birthday celebration. Bitter about never having his own party, Gloomius unleashes his glum ray, kidnaps Zowie and Pappy, and drags the entire Polie Planet into the Gloomy Galaxy. Olie springs into action with his Super Silly Ray—a gift meant for Zowie—and teams up with Saturday morning hero Space Boy to save the day. Together with their planet's inhabitants, they charge the Super Silly Ray and repair Gloomius's broken happiness mechanism, restoring fun to the galaxy.
