See Lotus Again(2019)

See Lotus Again is a film set against the backdrop of Macau's 1999 handover from Portugal to China. Sculptor Gu Songlin travels to the territory to retrieve "The Flourishing Lotus," a government sculpture gifted to the newly formed Macao Special Administrative Region. There he forms a lasting friendship with Liao Jichang, owner of the Liao Ji Wood Sculpture Store. A decade later, their shared passion for wood carving culminates in a remarkable achievement: their craft becomes Macau's first project designated as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. The film explores how personal connections and artistic dedication intersect with cultural preservation during a pivotal moment in the region's history.
