Les Carnassiers(1992)

Les Carnassiers is a French crime thriller following Alice, a young Portuguese woman who escapes a psychiatric hospital after her father-in-law has her committed to seize her inheritance. Fleeing toward France, she kills a predatory truck driver in self-defense and goes into hiding. She meets Bernie, an ambitious young boxer training for a world championship title, who becomes her unlikely protector despite the mounting danger. As Alice evades both police and private detectives hired by her stepfather, Bernie risks everything to shield her from capture. The film explores themes of survival, loyalty, and desperation as two outsiders form a fragile bond while hunted by forces determined to separate them.
