Why judge a human by faith?

Coexistence follows two Muslim immigrant students who meet in an American homestay and instantly connect over their shared passion for football. Their budding friendship quickly fractures when they discover they belong to different Muslim sects, and political tensions drive a wedge between them. Just as they prepare to go their separate ways, a brutal encounter with a racist neighborhood bully forces them to confront their differences and rediscover what brought them together. The film explores how prejudice from outside can unite those divided by internal conflict, examining identity, belonging, and the fragile bonds formed in a foreign land.
